Where to begin...

I honestly have no idea where to start. We have had a lot of things going on lately that I thought about blogging but didn't really feel up to it. Mostly because I couldn't think of how to begin talking about our everyday stuff when we feel that there is still such a void in our lives. It's like there is a presence that feels like it should still be here but isn't. But I guess we'll always feel that way.
I still don't know exactly what to say so i guess I'll just start with Halloween and maybe catch the rest up next time....

Aiden couldn't have been more excited for this day to come! He picked out his Batman costume all by himself and tried it on almost everyday until Halloween. I was so fun with him this year. Last year he got it but it took awhile. This year he couldn't wait for the day to come. After each house we trick or treated he would get so excited and squeal "Let's do another house!" Hilarious.

My favorite part was this awesome "Batman face." If you will notice he's also showing me his killer guns (muscles.) Although he must have thought he was being a little too intimidating for me because after a minute he said.......

"It's just me Aiden!"
Man I love this kid.

KateLyn, as you can already see, was an adorable kitten. Which totally works because I call her that all the time anyways and it went well with Aiden's Batman costume. I even got super creative and made that headband myself! I know it's not that awesome but I'm proud anyway!

My baby girl is getting so so BIG! Too big if you ask me. A few weeks ago when Nick left for a hunting trip she decided that she could sit up all by herself. She's also grabbing and reaching for everything! And almost immediately sticking whatever she can grab in her mouth. Lovely. She is still my angel though. I can not believe how patient and clam she is all the time. Honestly. She hardly ever cries when she gets mad or wants something she just sort of yells, it's hilarious.

We went to Tremonton for a little Halloween party at the Wilsons and all the kids, and the grown ups had a super fun time. They all looked so cute in their costumes. We ate dinner and then went trick or treating for awhile. They all got loads of candy and then we came home to a pinata! Is was a blast.

They each took a turn....

And then Josh busted that thing open with one swing!

It was a very fun Halloween, Aiden is still talking about it everyday! Can't wait until next year.

Preston Dee Wilson

Preston Dee Wilson
October 7, 1960 - October 6, 2008
Preston Dee Wilson, age 47, Tremonton, UT, passed away unexpectedly October 6, 2008 as a result of a heart attack. He was born October 7, 1960 in Price, UT to Bryce J Wilson and Ruby Luane Esplin. He married Patricia Lynn Petersen June 16, 1978. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 16, 1979.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a dedicated provider. He had a quick sense of humor and a love for others that drew people to him. He loved the gospel with all his heart and it was evident in his life. From his early youth, he faithfully served in many church callings, and was a member of the High Council in the Tremonton South Stake at the time of his parting.
He enjoyed hunting with his sons, boating, fishing, four-wheeling with his grandchildren and raising guppies, chickens, sheep and calves. He loved life and lived it to the fullest but he loved nothing more than spending time with Patti, the love of his life and eternal companion.
He is survived by his wife, Patti; parents Bryce and Luane; children Tricia (Clint) Payne, Courtney (Jill) Wilson, Nicholas (Shayna) Wilson, Mallorie (TaRell) McMurdie; brothers Layne, Evan, Joel, Chris and sister Elise; and grandchildren Josh, Emma, Brady, Olivia, Aiden, KateLyn, and Molly. His optimism and quiet confidence will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11am in the Tremonton South Stake Center. Friends and family may call Friday October 10, 2008 from 6-8pm and again Saturday October 11, 2008 from 9:30-10:30am, both at the Tremonton South Stake Center.

What greater gift dost thou bestow,
What greater goodness can we know
Than Christ-like friends, whose gentle ways
Strengthen our faith, enrich our days.

When such a friend from us departs,
We hold forever in our hearts
A sweet and hallowed memory,
Bringing us nearer, Lord to thee.

Preston was an amazing father, father-in law, grandpa and husband. We love him with all our hearts and miss him everyday. He was such a great example to all of us. We now have a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. I don't think that anyone can ever get over something like this, we can only try to get through it. The only peace we feel comes from the knowledge of the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ that families can be together forever and that we can be with him again someday.

Little princess....

I am in love with KateLyn! She's adorable and her smile just kills me. It's like a full body smile! Even when she's not facing me I can tell by the way her body moves that she's smiling.

I got Aiden's old exersaucer out a few weeks ago to see if she could do it, Look at how big she looks!

Of coarse Aiden loved showing her how to use all the toys and she just adores it when he pays her even the slighest bit of attention. It was super cute. She uses this all the time now too and loves it!

Aiden and the tooth fairy.....

Okay, here's the story. A few weeks ago Aiden had a sleepover at my mom and dad's house, Nick picked him up after work and brought him home. No big deal. Until he was about 2 minutes from our house when Aiden started crying and saying that his lip hurt. When they got home we checked it out and everything seemed fine. A little while later, Aiden's lip had gotten really swollen. I called my mom to see if he had fallen or ran into something, anything to explain what was going on. She couldn't think of anything and his lip kept getting bigger and bigger. I decided to take him to the doctor to see for sure. The dumb guy that was there was like, "So, his lip doesn't usually look like this?" No he doesn't always look like a who! He kinda made me feel like a dummy for even bringing him in and said he probably just bumped it. The thing was he was still in some serious pain and it was not going away. The next day the swelling looked like it was going into his gums and anytime he would even nudge it his gums would bleed. It was Sunday and Nick and I were convinced that it had to be something to do with the tooth that we thought was dead before. On Monday morning, I decided to call my sis in law who works for a dentist and she told me to press on the top of his gums to see if it was abscessed. I did what she told me and this huge white puss ball came oozing out of his tooth! It was gross! I took him into the dentist about an hour later and the confirmed that it was dead and abscessed and they were going to have to pull the tooth out! I was shocked. I was not ready for them to say that they were just going to yank the thing out! I guess they just don't mess with baby teeth because it can damage their permanent teeth. After a little time, the shock went away and we set everything up for them to take care of it. We had to wait a few weeks for him to take some antibiotics. But Aug 25th was the day. That morning I took a few pics of his teeth for the last time in a few years.

I know Aiden has the most awesome sleep face ever! I had to wake him up to take him to the dentist.
I was super nervous because I'm not so good at the dentist but it went even better than I had hoped. They gave him this medicine that seriously knocked him almost all the way out. He couldn't even raise his arm but he was still awake. And I got to hold him the whole time at first. Once that medicine really kicked in though they took him in the back. He was only back there about 10 or 15 min and they came and got me and said he was done and he did super awesome! When I got him home it took quite awhile for the drugs to wear off and he was seriously flying high. It was hilarious, he was saying and doing the funniest things, Nick and i were cracking up.
Of coarse the tooth fairy paid Aiden a visit that night and he was so excited because she left him money and coins, as Aiden will tell you.

Here he is after the tooth fairy came. Showing off his bling and his new toothless grin.

I told Nick it's a good thing he's so darn cute cause he totally pulls this look off I think.

So a little more drama than I would like but everything turned out really great thank goodness.
