Update...

So last week I posted about Katelyn and her Big Girl Bed. She has done really great so far. Even with naps, I have only had to put her back into her bed 1 time and she just goes to sleep every time. Last night when I went to check on her before I went to bed, I walked in to find her missing. But when my eyes adjusted and I looked closer I found her and laughed my butt off!(The reason for the bumper being on still: With Aiden I kept the bumper on for awhile when I first took the side off the crib just as kind of a barrier until he got used to it being gone. So I thought I would do the same for Katelyn.)
Hilarious!

Cheese...

Every time I get the camera out and try to take her picture, she yells Cheese! And then she makes THIS face!

It has just been the last few weeks but it's driving me crazy!
Don't get me wrong this face cracks me up.
But I would appreciate a few smiles also.
The only time I get a decent picture anymore is if I catch her when she doesn't know I' have my camera.

Otherwise this is the face I get, I hope this phase will pass soon.

My big Girl...

As I speak Katelyn is taking a nap in her new Big Girl Bed! (Well her crib with the front taken off) I was really nervous about doing this for some reason. But she was starting to climb out of her crib! She had done it a few times and that just freaks me out. So yesterday I gave in and took the front off. Lets just say that a nap yesterday did not happen! There was a lot of crying and banging on the door and locking the door and playing in her hair things which she somehow managed to get a hold of. So in the end we skipped the nap. Which I was actually hopeful that it would be to my advantage and she would be so sleepy by the time it was bed time she would just go right to sleep. And lucky for me that's exactly what happened! Since I have laid her down today she hasn't made a peep so I am taking that as a good sign and hopefully I didn't have anything to worry about after all. Oh and the people are coming to do all my drywall in the basement on Mon and I am way excited! Life is kinda good right now. Lets hope it stays that way.

Worst blogger ever...

I am awful I am only now going to show a few Christmas pics. I am fully aware of what a terrible blogger I am but I also feel bad for what a bad parent I am. This year for Christmas we packed up all our stuff and headed to Tremonton to stay at my moms and my sisters family came up this year and I was super excited to all be together! Maybe too excited because I totally spaced bringing my camera AND tape recorder! Man I suck. I could not believe it! My very nice sister said she would document the occasion and give a disc but I don't have it yet so these are all the pictures I have of our entire Christmas '09. Oh well. My babes in their Christmas clothes before Church I thought they were so darn cute I had to take a picture before we ran out the door.
Aiden wrote his very first letter to Santa this year and I loved it! He dictated to me and I wrote as fast as I could to get it all down. I thought what he said was priceless!

It says: Dear Santa I hope you get me Dinobots.
Their names are Snarl and Swoop.
And I hope I get Goldfish with them too.
And the coolest Transformer of them all that's made out of Destructicons
and his name is Devistator.
I hope I get them so much. And I was a good boy all the time.
I love you so much. Love Aiden Steven Wilson
P.S. I hope my family gets presents too. He thought it was pretty awesome to put something in the mail. Kind of a fun tradition that we could do. Hopefully now that it is Feb. I can now move on from Christmas. Man I need to work harder on this thing.

I know, I know, I suck....

Holy slacker! I have not even posted about Halloween. I have no excuses. But has anyone ever tried to upload like 10 pictures and it decides for some reason to upload 198? 188 of which already exist on your computer? Why does it do that? So annoying! I guess that's kind of my excuse. Anyways. Halloween WAS fun. Katelyn was a very pink fairy and loved to smack everyone with her magic wand.

Aiden was, you guessed it, Bumblebee the Transformer. Yes we are still 100% hooked on transformers at our house. On a side note: His Sunbeam teacher stopped me after church a few weeks a go to tell me that they were all in a circle talking about their favorite songs and you'll never guess what his was. Uh huh the transformers theme song which he then proceeded to sing for the class word for word. She said it was the funniest thing. I just smiled and shook my head. What a silly boy!
My sister and her family went on a Mexican adventure and decided it might be best to leave this little man behind. I liked the idea especially because I got to babysit him for 2 days and a night. He was so much fun to have and a really great baby. He did NOT sleep as well as I was promised but it was only one night so I totally didn't care!
Aiden could not keep his hands off him and told me that he thought we should have another baby and it should be another girl and not a boy. I told him I would think about it. I'm still thinking.
And last on my camera is Little Miss. All the time lately she disappears and when I go looking for her she has shut herself in her room and is sitting in her chair quietly reading. Adorable, right?
So there you go. I have struggled at even taking pictures lately let alone blogging and I will try to get back on the ball but I make no promises.

Denver baby...

Nick and I dropped the kiddies off at the grandparents this last weekend and headed to Denver to go to the Broncos game. In our planning for the weekend we found out that there was a Six Flags right next to the stadium. I have always wanted to go so we decided to try it out. Here we are after the almost eight hour drive and a not so well rested night sleep, we had some drunken guy banging on the wall outside our hotel room in the middle of the night, and a slightly large breakfast. Ready for a fun filled day at Elich Gardens Six Flags.
Nick's not a super fan of spinney rides so in preparation I brought some Dramamine for him but none the less this was him, totally sick and almost throwing up I don't know how many times, I guess the same amount as however many rides we went on. Poor guy. He was such a sport though he seriously went on all the big rides with me but one and that one for sure would have done him in. I on the other hand thought it was awesome and was psyched we got to go.
The next day was the big game and Nick was so excited.
Our seats were awesome. Eighth row and 5th yard line. It was really awesome to be that close to the game. It made it that much more fun.

They were doing this whole tribute to Shannon Sharp and inducting him into the ring of fame so he totally sky dived into the stadium it was sweet. The pros that came in with him were going so dang fast as they came into the stadium at first I thought they were going to crash and then they would just land smoothly it was crazy.

Shannon.
Of coarse the cheerleaders. There were some right in front of us the whole game and they were seriously scandalous.
The team coming out of the mustang.
We were so close to the game I took some actions shots here's all I came up with.
This was caught by the wrong person and was almost an interception but the guy was out of bounds. At half time they did the whole Shannon Sharp tribute thing, and John freakin' Elway was there! It was awesome. He walked right in front of us. Talk about cool. The Broncos played a great game. It was so exciting we were jumping out of our seats almost all game. Football games are way way WAY more exciting in person than they are on TV. Seriously people. I would go again in a second. Nick had an amazing time and I was so happy I could do this for him. He even said he could now cross this of his life list. Definitely the best birthday present I have ever given. Crap now what am I going to get him next year to live up to all this hype?

P.S. We came the other way home, through the Rockies and went through a for real snow storm! It was crazy, but pretty.
