Preston Dee Wilson

Preston Dee Wilson
October 7, 1960 - October 6, 2008
Preston Dee Wilson, age 47, Tremonton, UT, passed away unexpectedly October 6, 2008 as a result of a heart attack. He was born October 7, 1960 in Price, UT to Bryce J Wilson and Ruby Luane Esplin. He married Patricia Lynn Petersen June 16, 1978. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 16, 1979.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a dedicated provider. He had a quick sense of humor and a love for others that drew people to him. He loved the gospel with all his heart and it was evident in his life. From his early youth, he faithfully served in many church callings, and was a member of the High Council in the Tremonton South Stake at the time of his parting.
He enjoyed hunting with his sons, boating, fishing, four-wheeling with his grandchildren and raising guppies, chickens, sheep and calves. He loved life and lived it to the fullest but he loved nothing more than spending time with Patti, the love of his life and eternal companion.
He is survived by his wife, Patti; parents Bryce and Luane; children Tricia (Clint) Payne, Courtney (Jill) Wilson, Nicholas (Shayna) Wilson, Mallorie (TaRell) McMurdie; brothers Layne, Evan, Joel, Chris and sister Elise; and grandchildren Josh, Emma, Brady, Olivia, Aiden, KateLyn, and Molly. His optimism and quiet confidence will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11am in the Tremonton South Stake Center. Friends and family may call Friday October 10, 2008 from 6-8pm and again Saturday October 11, 2008 from 9:30-10:30am, both at the Tremonton South Stake Center.

What greater gift dost thou bestow,
What greater goodness can we know
Than Christ-like friends, whose gentle ways
Strengthen our faith, enrich our days.

When such a friend from us departs,
We hold forever in our hearts
A sweet and hallowed memory,
Bringing us nearer, Lord to thee.

Preston was an amazing father, father-in law, grandpa and husband. We love him with all our hearts and miss him everyday. He was such a great example to all of us. We now have a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. I don't think that anyone can ever get over something like this, we can only try to get through it. The only peace we feel comes from the knowledge of the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ that families can be together forever and that we can be with him again someday.

Guess what?
It's my birthday.
I had a super fun day of lunch, shopping, presents, and dinner all with family.
Also Nick and I played a couple of softball games and my legs are aching.
Man I'm old.
